HEFFLER, Charles Orland "Heff" - 91,
Aylesford, King Co., passed away February 27, 2006, in Valley Regional Hospital,
Kentville.
Born March 1, 1914, in Bedford, Halifax Co., he was a son of the late
Elijah Stanley and Sophia Maud (Brown) Heffler. Orland, as he was known by his
family, was proud to have served his country in the RCAF from 1938-1969.
He had
served at several bases throughout Canada before retiring with the rank of Chief
Warrant Officer. He enjoyed woodworking, model railroading, photography and
being around young people.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased
by his first wife of 50 years, Winnifred (Mann) Heffler; brothers, Irving,
Russell and Ralph; sister, Ida Allison.
A private graveside service was held in Aylesford Union
Cemetery following the reception.
Donations in memory may be made to the Heart
and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Kingston United Baptist Church.
